They are made from high tensile, quenched and tempered cast steel, with a different chemical composition and with extremely high mechanical properties, while galvanization ensures its long-term durability.
They are attached to the end of a wire rope cable by pouring zinc or resin to create the termination. This hardens to hold the
socket into place.
